👶🏼 Baby Vegan 🌱 This kid is such a good little eater! And he’s getting really good using his spoon for his breakfast. Is it weird I just love watching him eat? Breakfast today was Alphabites, blueberries and rice cakes (one plain and one with peanut butter and flaxseeds). Ada had most the blueberries and a bit of plain rice cake. I think I may have found the reason why her appetite has been poor (more so than usual) the last few days. She hasn’t had a poo in about 4 days and was straining to get one out yesterday. Well, today she pooped... oh girl, did she poop. It was akin to the poonami’s from when she was little but mostly solid. Sorry to be talking about poo on a food account! Strawberry porridge, bananas and sultanas for breakfast today. . . Flynn seems to like porridge and strawberries so I figured that this combo would be a winner and I was right. The sultanas were his first choice, he loves them but struggles to pick them up and get them to his mouth (always entertaining to watch!) With a bit of support from me he ate the porridge with his spoon; he has to hold it too though. 🔸SUPER SIMPLE SLOW-COOKED LAMB STEW ( #paleo #dairyfree #glutenfree #eggfree)🔸 . I would serve from around 9 months. . Don’t you just love meals you can chuck into the slow cooker that morning? I showed this going into the slow cooker in my stories on Friday and a few of you asked for the recipe so here goes! . Ingredients (served 2 adults and 3 littles): 🔸Half a leg of lamb (around 2.2lb / 1kg) 🔸A good pinch of pink salt (around 1 tsp) (NB: I’m comfortable with my 10 month old having a small amount of pink salt in things but omit until 12 months if you’d prefer) 🔸A good pinch of black pepper (around 1/2 tsp) 🔸1/2 large onion finely diced 🔸1 tsp finely diced garlic 🔸1.5 cups red wine (the alcohol will cook out) 🔸1 can chopped tomatoes 🔸Good squeeze tomato paste 🔸1.5 cups bouillon stock 🔸A good palmful fresh thyme leaves 🔸3 bay leaves 🔸good tbsp arrowroot or cornflour mixed with a little cold water for thickening . Method: 1. Put everything into the slow cooker (except the arrowroot / cornflour) and cook on high for 5 / 6 hours (turning the leg half way through). 2. At around 5 / 6 hours when the lamb easily falls away from the bone remove the meat and bone from the slow cooker. Stir in a couple of tablespoons of arrowroot/ cornflour (already mixed with cold water) to thicken the sauce. Add the shredded lamb back in. Cook on high for another 30 minutes. 3. Serve with veg and rice / mash / new potatoes. . Buenos días 😍 En un cuarto de hora empiezo dos talleres seguidos así que os subo bien pronto la receta de hoy. No es nada difícil hacerla y ahora en verano que levan más rápido las masas todavía mejor. . ¿Te animas? Os leo a la hora de comer 😊 . 🌮Empanadillas caseras🌮 . 350 gr de harina de trigo (no de fuerza)/mamis latinas: 0000 50 gr de harina de maíz (Maizena) 220gr de agua tibia 30gr de aceite de oliva virgen extra suave 1 sobre de levadura panadera (7gr) o equivalente en fresca Mezclamos las harinas con la levadura y hacemos un agujero en el centro para añadir el agua tibia y el aceite poco a poco mientras removemos. Cuando esté bien amasada la tapamos con un trapo y dejamos que leve media hora. Enharinamos la zona de trabajo y extendemos la masa, la cortamos y añadimos el relleno elegido. Cocinar en el horno precalentado con calor arriba y abajo a 220° unos 10-15 minutos, dependiendo de la clase y potencia de horno que tengamos. ¡Están buenísimas!
