On brand... super important to stay on brand when it comes to communicating with your customers. . Your visual and verbal brand identity are your persona, your unique identifier and the one thing your customers are going to tell you apart by. . Make sure it runs through all your comms, website and social media platforms. . Ideally work with a verbal brand fairy (👉🏼 pointing finger at myself) to join the dots between your verbal and visual YOU. . Irresistible lingo is my jam. Let me help you sweeten up your copy. . Do you ever have those outfits that just make you feel more professional or confident? Usually, I stick to a jeans, shirt and jacket combo during the colder months. I didn’t think winter dresses would even suit me until I had a meeting where my standard look just wouldn’t cut it. S O C I A L M E D I A T I P⠀ ⠀ People often invite me out to have coffee so they can "pick my brain" about social media. While coffee sounds delightful, having my brain picked always reminds me of being at the dentist. You know, that little metal scraper thing they use to pick out plaque from between your teeth? Yeah, that's what I imagine someone doing - except scraping the inside of my skull to remove brain matter 😖⠀ ⠀ The biggest issue I have with this, aside from said cognitive scrapeage (totally a word!), is that social media strategy is complicated. There's no single tip or hack that will give you instant results. Sorry. I wish there was because it would save me a hours of work and research formulating detailed client strategies.⠀ ⠀ Anyway, I promised a tip, didn't I? Here's something you can do in the time it takes you to drink your coffee 👉🏼Talk to your followers. On video. In your Instagram stories.⠀ ⠀ Yup, I can hear your objections from here! You're shy, you don't look like a supermodel, you don't know what to say (I can help you with that BTW) and "Kryshla, you've said this 100 times before!".⠀ ⠀ There's a reason why I keep saying it 💁🏻 A LOT of my business enquiries start with "I saw you mention ___ on your Instagram stories...". It works, I promise.⠀ ⠀ I'll give you some #socialmediastats to back up my own experience: There are 500,000 *daily* Instagram users and 300,000 of them watch Instagram stories every day. That's a lot of ‘back up’ right there!🙌🏼 What's more, that number is increasing with more people opting to watch stories over scrolling their feed. So give the people what they want! Talk to them, let them know what you're about and engage like a real human person. Enough said.⠀ ⠀ DM me if you want another quick tip for gaining business leads from Instagram. When we create a brand it's important that we make sure it works across all channels. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⛰First, we look at the current landscape of the industry and think about how we want the brand to be seen, and how we want people to perceive it. ⠀ ⠀ 🧐Then we look at competitors in the area, and how we can get our clients to stand out from the crowd. We then look at the best way to articulate the brands meaning, personality, tone and look. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 🖼Then we look at design styles and how we can effectively communicate all of the above clearly through colour, fonts, layout and placement. ⠀ ⠀ 🤯There's a lot that goes into branding, so communication is absolutely the key to a successful rollout. ⠀ ⠀ 💁‍♀️This is one of our examples we did for @fionajefferies personal brand on Facebook. One of the most common phrases I hear from potential coaching clients is “I need a boss! I need to be #accountable to someone”. Running your own biz is ALL about making decisions, often without anyone else’s direction or input. You’re the one in charge. You’re the one who calls the shots - whether they work or fail. . I love these #wisewords from the late Steve Jobs 👆🏽 and it’s something I often suggest my clients to (even before we work together). What can be culled? What are you currently saying “yes” to that has little to no impact on your #bizgoals? We can get so sidetracked by other people’s to-do lists or being sucked into the latest social platform or widget. Remember, each time you say “yes” to something you’re also saying “no” to something else. The challenge is being able to identify which is the most important. .
