On the left side of his topknot, in the immediate proximity of Ganga's face, is the crescent moon. In his upper right and left hands, the god carries the damaru and the mriga, his lower right hand is in abhaya and his lower left in varada mudra. The god sits majestically in a tall asana, his right leg rests on it, while his left hangs down. In his upper hand the god carries the damaru, in his upper left the mriga, the lower right hand is in the teaching gesture and the left hangs loose. Shiva’s hair is, as usual, gathered in a jata mukuta, he is dresses in a dhoti and angavastra and wears the usual ornaments. Draped curtains and lotus wreaths hang from the upper portion of the metal frame. The god rests his shoulders against a large bolster, and carries in his upper right hand the damaru, in his upper left the mriga, his lower right hand is in abhaya and his lower left in varada mudra. Instead of the usual floral wreath, the god wears along with the usual jewellery items a string of pearls around his neck.
